How to Remove Someone From a Role in Wix (Beginner’s Guide)

If you’ve given someone access to your Wix website and no longer want them to manage it, you can easily remove them from their role. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide:


Step 1: Log in to Your Wix Account

  1. Go to wix.com and sign in with your account details.

  2. From your Wix Dashboard, open the website you want to manage.

  3. Log in to Wix → I’ll guide you to take a screenshot of your Wix dashboard homepage.

    • Highlight the left menu where “Settings” is located.


Step 2: Open Site Roles

  1. On the left-hand menu, click on Settings.

  2. Under Roles & Permissions, click Site Roles.

Step 3: Find the Person You Want to Remove

  1. You’ll see a list of people who currently have access to your site.

  2. Look for the person’s name or email address.

Step 4: Remove the Role

  1. Click the three dots (⋮) next to their name.

  2. Select Remove Role.

  3. Confirm by clicking Remove again.

Important Notes:

  • If the person is the site owner, they cannot be removed. Only the site owner can transfer ownership.

  • If the person is an admin (co-owner) or any other role, you can remove them.
